Helping Hands for Ukraine
Drone and missile attacks continue to destroy infrastructure across Ukraine, with the medical sector being particularly affected. At the same time, the number of amputations resulting from war injuries continues to rise sharply. In collaboration with the MedTech company Ottobock, the Ottobock Global Foundation is supporting the expansion of medical technology infrastructure in various ways.
In close cooperation with international aid organizations, it has been possible to implement various workshop projects and send mobile containers to the war zone within a very short space of time. To meet the increased demand for prostheses, Ottobock has also established a subsidiary in Ukraine. Another key focus is on training and educational programs for orthopedic technicians to address the shortage of skilled professionals in Ukraine.
