Help for Earthquake Victims in Turkey and Syria

On February 6, 2023, devastating earthquakes struck the border region between Turkey and Syria, followed by additional aftershocks. Media reports mention more than 60,000 fatalities and 110,000 injured. Countless children have lost family members and are injured.

In collaboration with the MedTech company Ottobock, the Ottobock Global Foundation immediately provided on-site assistance: After a call for donations, they equipped containers as mobile orthopedic workshops and sent them to the crisis area. To quickly provide medical care to as many injured individuals as possible, orthopedic technicians from Ottobock also trained local professionals in Turkey.
