A Heart for Children in Ukraine

Even before the outbreak of the war, families with disabled children in Ukraine faced enormous challenges. Budget deficits, the economic crisis, and a lack of reforms had negatively impacted the healthcare reimbursement system.

In cooperation with the aid organizations “Ein Herz für Kinder” and Human Plus e.V., the Ottobock Global Foundation launched a project for children and young people in the greater Kyiv area. Together, they provided 12 young patients with individually adapted and, in some cases, custom-made wheelchairs.
