Ottobock and Zufall provide emergency aid

More than 100 Wheelchairs for Beirut

In the devastating explosion in Beirut, more than 4,000 people were injured.

The Ottobock Global Foundation took the lead in managing the joint project and connected with local aid organizations. After the Ottobock factory in Königsee provided the wheelchairs, they were loaded by ZUFALL logistics group from Göttingen, transported to Hamburg, and then shipped from there. Since the port in Beirut was closed at that time, the wheelchairs were delivered to the port in Tripoli, 80 kilometers away, before finally reaching Beirut after a total of ten days of transfer.
